Leeds Cathedral

A wonderful Arts and Crafts Gothic Church designed by Charles Eastwood

We have have been entrusted with the care, repair and augmentation of the Cathedral for over 25 years and have seen it transformed following internal reordering, redecoration and the introduction of a new lighting scheme. We continue to design and implement significant ongoing repairs and new interventions to enhance this busy place of worship as the Mother Church of the Diocese.

 Restoration and reordering

Our work on the interior of the Cathedral has included a full reordering focused around relocating the Altar to a more central location near the crossing of nave and transepts and with the introduction of new liturgical fittings including Altar, Ambo and Bishops chair. New confessionals, choirstalls, benches, underfloor heating and a new natural sandstone floor to Eastwood's original design have also been installed. The font from the original cathedral was restored and fitted with a silver and gilt font lining designed and manufactured by Rod Kelly.
